Most users use NavShip in the free version; only a small proportion use the premium version. In 2023 we had 138,000 euros in project-specific expenses that are directly related to the app.

In order to be able to finance the project, we have to show appropriate advertising. So far we have relied on third-party advertising, be it through banner advertising directly on the map or full-page ads after a route calculation.

So our next step is an in-house ad promoting our NavShip premium version. This can now occasionally be found in the apps if you have planned a route as a basic user.
